Every child is precious.
Hope Street equips ALL who touch the lives of children with what they need, so they can give children what they need.
Every child should feel precious, loved & safe.
What is TBRI®?
TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the needs of ALL children, and especially the complex needs of children who have experienced trauma.
TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.
TBRI® is designed to meet the needs of all children. As parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone who touches the life of a child, we all need support at different times as we seek to create everyday experiences in which the children in our care feel seen, valued, loved, and safe. TBRI® is also designed to meet the needs of children who have experienced adversity, early harm, toxic stress, and/or trauma.
It is often difficult for children who have experienced trauma to trust the loving adults in their lives, which can result in behaviors that get in the way of healthy relationships at home, in school and/or in the community. TBRI® offers practical tools for parents, caregivers, teachers, or anyone who works with children, to see the “whole child” and help that child reach his highest potential.
Who should get

trained in TBRI®?
In March 2015, Harvard’s Center on the Developing Child released a study saying, “Every child who winds up doing well has had at least one stable and committed relationship with a supportive adult.”
“The difference between becoming a statistic and a success story is YOU!” Josh Shipp, a former foster child, and now author, speaker, and youth advocate shares.
